The biggest thing that happened this year is the show I was directing on finally came out. It was the best crew I've ever gotten to work with, and I'm forever grateful we got to spend the year together monkeying around

I was so overwhelmed trying to organize places people were sending me to see in japan, so I downloaded this app called wanderlog and omfg it's so good for my brain ;_;

I can just dump locations into categories and colour code them, then I can compile them into a day by day itinerary
The map overview in wanderlog for our Japan trip. It shows all the places people have recommended in Tokyo so far. They're organized into different categories - one screen you see three named ones. Shopping, nature, and shrines. An itinerary for a potential day trip to hakone. It shows the places within hakone I've marked down that I want to visit, in the order I'd like to visit. It gives map directions and time estimates between places as well.

Last month, it was teenagers who got 8 books banned in a statewide Georgia reading bowl back into the competition. These literary heroes deserve recognition–get to meet three of these rad book-loving intellectual freedom champions.

theres posts going around to turn off the "rude poster" moderation in your settings, and I decided to also set everything else to "warn" (bc bsky had them auto set to "hide") and ive encountered some posts with these "warnings" that were so innocuous they made me laugh out loud
the advanced bluesky moderation page. I've turned most settings to "warn"because I'm surious so see what they consider "extreme" or "threats" and completely turned off the "rude" moderation, because it's stupid

i take wisp to the cat hotel tomorrow and it's way easier just packing him up, than when we had linus, too. But there's also a lil sting when I realize I don't have to pack 3 different types of meds, syringes, and finger cots, I don't have to print 4 pages of care sheets

It's not like Vancouver has some of the lowest property taxes in Canada! We must protect the million dollar nimbys from having to invest in their community, lest they witness an ~undesirable~

In his final budget before facing voters next October, Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim is presenting a property tax freeze and $50 million more for police, balanced by major cuts to arts, culture, community services and sustainability departments.
