An absolute baseline prerequisite for any model to even begin to call itself "ethical" is to respect the wishes of the people who created the "training data", no matter who they are or what medium they work in. That means opt-in all the way. That's the work you have to do BEFORE you even start.

They're out of good ideas. And it's Apple, so they will never, *ever* admit that it's a mistake. Get used to it.

I hope he retires and shoves out one of the *many* horrible studio or color analysts out there. I'd love to see NBC clean out their mess of a Sunday Night, keep Maria Taylor and Mike Florio, and rebuild around Tomlin to replace that frankly creepy trio of studio analysts.

Hey...this could be the panic moment that starts the end of the bubble. If Huang is actually feeling the effects of the criticism, that means he sees the money drying up.

Ramming speed, folks. Time to turn the volume up.

He can keep right on begging. It's never going to stop.

They're terrible people.

Right. But Congress doesn't care. At all. They'll hand wave and claim they do care, but they don't. The question is what we do a bout that.

LOL. They'd have to hide that (if indeed they could) from everyone, lest they be laughed out of existence by all but a tiny market of sad little 'AI' bros, but sure, go do that.

They're gonna have to ban the "lift-and-carry" along with the "butt stuff" (I don't use the word 'tush' unless I'm referring to ZZ Top).

More and more tech companies simply dare people to leave, and (in the case of Apple) rely on a cadre of "my purchases are my identity" fanboys to insulate them from well-deserved criticism. It works for them. An especially creative author might noe have anticipated this part of the techno-dystopia.

It sucks. They shouldn't behave this way. Of course, I don't think I can advocate for another manufacturer that wouldn't. Like so many other aspects of the 21st century economy, companies (especially in technology) may compete on price, features, and convenience, but not on quality or service.

I'm not going to be convinced that they have a problem until they start taking serious actions.

I'm not sure how much more clearly every person at Google, from Pichai on down to the most junior engineer, can make clear their malign intent. You can indeed leave them. I did, and I'm glad.

If they ever learn how to play for 60 minutes, they'll be spectacular.

I've been enjoying Tuta Mail, and I am migrating off of Proton Mail to it (because I agree, Andy Yen has unambiguously declared himself to be a crypto and 'AI' bro).

Google is now a deprecated search engine, and they did it to themselves. Knowledgeable people in my life and career no longer rely on it for anything.

Stupid people have stupid reaction to easily predictable consequence of their actions.
