I feel like this is somehow risky to say, but it shouldn't be: I cannot possibly care deeply about every issue. I cannot possibly be informed about every issue. Nobody can. I'd rather be honest than performative. I'd rather read what those who do care have to say and keep my mouth shut.

They need to be stopped, and step 1 is to stop using anything they and their companies make. Yes, that's the bare minimum, and IDGAF what clever little counter you want to make.
I made a deep dive video into the TESCREAL ideology shaping Silicon Valley’s biggest companies and the AI arms race, and how a shocking number of tech billionaires are pro-human extinction

It's a really good book.
If you only know me for my little videos, you can try my latest novel for three bucks in any ebook format. Search 'I'm Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom' on your ebook device.

Go check the reviews, read a preview - this is the thing I actually do for a living!

You know it's a tough economy when Christopher Walken has to sell beer in order to make ends meet.

When are we going to collectively feel embarrassment for what an unequivocally, fully committed sellout Snoop Dogg turned out to be?

I'm not doing a general strike all by myself, but I am doing an economic slowdown. I'm not buying anything but groceries for the foreseeable future.

You know it's a tough economy when Bowen Yang has to pimp 'AI' for Zoom in order to make ends meet.

We're all still agreed that #liquidglass is dogshit, right? And #Apple will never, ever listen to us? Because Apple never listens. I am keen to get Linux going on Apple hardware very soon.

You know, I kinda think that most people just using computers less in general, setting aside circumstances under which they have unambiguously positive social value, is a pretty darn good idea.

Must be a tough economy. Even one of the most bankable actors of her generation, star of multiple blockbusters, has to do T-Mobile ads in order to make ends meet.

Remember, everyone: You can indeed resist all this generative code ("AI") garbage. You don't have to watch or read or listen to any of it. Curating what you consume used to be the normal process everyone always went through, because they had to get physical media or rigidly time their consumption.

We need a lot more of this from informed technologists.
Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

Wait. Manti Te'o is a studio analyst now? The guy most famous for being catfished? Who *lost* that audition?

The primary function of the Internet in this moment is to provide a heat sink. People get mad, and instead of doing something, they vent online and go back to normal life. All this shit should be producing something on the spectrum of millions marching monthly, general strikes, or France in 1789.

The top of a very, very long list. And that bro-oligarchy is the one Newton and Roose functionally do PR for, lobbing softballs and cheering them on, pretty achy no matter what they do. Metaverse, crypto, water-wasting 'AI' - they never saw a hype cycle they wouldn't uncritically pimp.

And Casey's pals cheer it on. This is the world the 'AI' and metaverse and crypto bros want. They're getting it. And he still cheerleads for them.
