Being GenX means coming of age during the great transformation from analogue to digital technology and the explosion of the information revolution.

Being a GenX pilot has mirrored this. I cut my teeth on Victor airways and NDB approaches, now I fly around with the world at my fingertips.

Today's abysmal jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy.

What's required is investment in working people — and better wages.

When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs.

Remember this.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

Oligarchy (noun):

A government of and by a few at the top, who exercise power for their own benefit. Their power and wealth increase as they make laws that favor themselves, manipulate financial markets, and create monopolies that put more wealth into their pockets.

Everyday Americans get nickel and dimed while the rich dodge taxes.

They struggle to get by while the wealth of the 1% skyrockets.

They see their voices drowned out while the well-connected avoid accountability.

There are two sets of rules in America: One for the rich. Another for everyone else.

BREAKING: Asked where he wants interest rates a year from now, Trump said:
“1% — maybe even lower.”

He also said the next Fed Chair should consult with him on interest rates.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of monetary policy — and a direct threat to economic stability.

Republicans gave $132 billion in tax breaks to the top 1% in 2027.

With that money, we could have extended ACA tax credits for over 20 million people next year and still have $100 billion left over.

Once right-wing oligarchs gain control of just about every national and local media company, social media platform, and big AI, as they are systematically doing with little notice from the general public, it will be game, set and match for the Republic.

AI data centers are sucking up communities’ power & water.

AI is being used by corporations to shaft consumers and is threatening young workers’ job prospects.

So Trump wants to ram through a ban on state AI regulation — all to help out his Big Tech billionaire friends.

See how this works?

Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

The evidence of corporate consolidation is everywhere.

It means more power for them and less freedom for you.
Netflix's $83 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery would mean more corporate consolidation.

Netflix, by far the #1 streamer, would take over HBO Max, the #3 streaming service.

This giant merger could violate antitrust law and hurt consumers.

1. Break up corporate monopolies

2. Continue building union power

3. End Citizens United and get big money out of politics

My law firm is currently litigating 61 voting and election cases, including 12 redistricting cases. We have four cases in one stage or another before the Supreme Court.

These cases — and others like them —
will play a pivotal role in whether we have free and fair elections in 2026 and 2028.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, regular people don't have a voice.

The result? The demagoguery and corruption we're seeing now.
