can someone smarter than me tell me if I'm going insane? like, 16-bit 44.1KHz FLAC and ALAC should both sound identical when compressed to 256k AAC, right? sound check / normalization disabled for both Sp and AM, but Sp sounds notably worse. what the hell is up with that?
the worst thing about this is that it's noticable when using airpods pro!! even when compressed down to 256kbps AAC, spotify _STILL_ sounds worse!!! THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE LOSSLESS BY THE FUCKIGN WAY
