And that's why I don't want my diverse country run by narrow-minded people like Mike Johnson. (4)

But beyond its stupidity, Johnson's comment is racist, ageist, and generally offensive. BB's immense audience is younger, browner, and less locked into Johnson's world view than LG's. By saying LG has "broader appeal," Johnson is saying people who don't look and think like him don't count. (3)

The NFL's choice of BB is not "woke"; it is a business decision. BB will bring in a vast new audience, many of whom would not normally be watching the SB. LG would not attract anyone who was not already tuned in. (2)

Mike Johnson criticized the choice of Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl halftime, saying he doesn't "appeal to a broader audience." He wanted Lee Greenwood.

BB averages 58 million streams a day on Spotify. LG: 32,000. That's 1800 people listening to a BB song for every LG. Who gas "broader appeal"? (1)

This is America's Reichstag Fire moment.
There's no excuse for the Vice President of the United States to use a heinous killing as an occasion to baselessly frame political opponents as accomplices to murder while threatening to use the power of the government to attack them.

This dangerous rhetoric will only fan the flames.

The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.

Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.

Their "jokes" are stress tests, to see how far people will let them go. They aren't esp "serious" abt the pope thing but are willing to be&are v serious to see which aspects of the "joke" the base will defend & embrace. That they generate outrage while doing it is just a bonus, a delight for them.

It's reported that the government has spent $26 million on Trump's golf outings over the first 69 days since his inauguration.

That projects to $550 million over the course of his 4-uear term.

💯 — not to mention the guy who chose them all
This is what happens when you have an entire cabinet full of folks who would NEVER pass a regular security clearance.

Led by a president who would never be able to pass one either.

Pete Buttigieg breaks down DEI for everyday folks…

“The opposite of diversity is uniformity. The opposite of equity is inequity. The opposite of inclusion is exclusion.” @petebuttigieg.bsky.social

Our problem: too many value uniformity over inclusion and they’re the ones running the government.

Today: X completely down.
The last month: Tesla stock price down by a third.

Gotta hand it to Musk: He really is running the government like he runs his businesses.
