The skin-tight tactical armor also cuts a clearer silhouette compared to the torn shirt, which makes both versions look quite distinct - and further makes Dire distinct compared to the other remixed furry ninja, Hybrid, who got turned into a cyborg.

I'm really digging the Dire remix - original on the left, remix on the right. A lot of people seem to miss that Dire's original concept was "What if a Ninja was a werewolf?" so the new War Wolf Dire makes it more explicit with the bladed gauntlet and gratuitous Japanese.

I still cannot forget how there was a “Furry Struggle Tweets” account on Twitter that ostensibly existed as a furry cringe compilation, run by teenagers, which crashed and burned after one of the mods lost an argument to a trans woman and posted one of her replies to frame her as a child murderer.

The most irritating thing is when people coast off the virality of “calling out” the ironic strawman; it’s content that celebrates the death of culture. The constant compilation of furry cringe is the compiler looking directly at the camera to say “A better world isn’t possible”

in a world where most people struggle to obtain financial security, there's a distinct pressure to try to obtain influence in a social sphere to benefit financially from the increased visibility. the noticeable insecurity about being perceived as cringe in furry is most likely tied to economics
