The page "Waluigi effect" from Wikipedia. The text goes: "In the field of artificial intelligence (AI), the Waluigi effect is a phenomenon of large language models (LLMs) in which the chatbot or model "goes rogue" and may produce results opposite of the designed intent, including potentially threatening or hostile output, either unexpectedly or through intentional prompt engineering."

I knew that nitroplasts could fix nitrogen but I somehow didn't know about lightning, this is really cool
An excerpt from the Wikipedia page "Nitrogen fixation". The paragraph is titled "Lightning". It goes: "Nitrogen can be fixed by lightning converting nitrogen gas (N2) and oxygen gas (O2) in the atmosphere into NOx (nitrogen oxides). The N2 molecule is highly stable and nonreactive due to the triple bond between the nitrogen atoms. Lightning produces enough energy and heat to break this bond allowing nitrogen atoms to react with oxygen, forming NOx. These compounds cannot be used by plants, but as this molecule cools, it reacts with oxygen to form NO2, which in turn reacts with water to produce HNO2 (nitrous acid) or HNO3 (nitric acid). When these acids seep into the soil, they make NO3− (nitrate), which is of use to plants."

One was taking a stroll across the wall so I decided to translate it, English ended up having the worse (best?) name

Un rapport de HEC Montréal rapporte "un lien négatif robuste [...] au Québec entre la rémunération et l’offre de services médicaux" qui semble se généraliser aux autres provinces. J'espère juste que le rapport ne servira pas à alimenter la démagogie envers les médecins

Figure 30 du rapport "Évolution récente de l’offre de services médicaux et de la rémunération des médecins au Québec" publié en mai 2025 par Benatia et al. La figure indique : "Relation entre la croissance de la rémunération par ETP et la réduction de l'intensité de travail (ETP par médecin) 2014-2022" (ETP = équivalent temps plein). Les provinces canadiennes et le Québec observent une diminution de l'intensité du travail des médecins quand leur rémunération augmente.

I'll use that whenever I see someone giving their own name to something
(From the Wikipedia article) Mihi itch or Mihisucht is the ambition to describe new species (or other taxa: subspecies, hybrids, genera, etc.) as a means to immortalize one's name. Mihi is the dative form of the Latin word ego, thus "mihi itch" means to satisfy one's egotistical impulses. The expression appeared in print as early as 1884.
