Alberta pours an egregious amount of public funds into private schools. We’re one of only a few provinces that fund private schools at all, at higher levels than any other jurisdiction. Meanwhile, public schools continue to be defunded and attacked. This entire situation should outrage everyone.

It’s always interesting to me that all these anti-trans bigots like to claim “basic biology” as a shield for their hatred. Yet, when you ask them to explain, their understanding of biology falls far short of “basic”. 🏳️‍⚧️

Just a reminder to anyone who wants to lick Peter Lougheed’s asshole as some stellar example of an exceptional Premier, he’s the reason we have the Notwithstanding Clause, and also why Alberta’s economy is so heavily tied to selling our garbage product to the US. So he can eat shit IMHO.

Really, truly amazing that OpenAI wants us to believe that they are worth a trillion dollars but also they are so desperate for revenue that they created an infinite SlopTok app that opens them up to a billion lawsuits just so that they can maybe someday make it even worse by filling it with ads.

I’m incredibly frustrated by the argument that so-called progressives keep making purporting to “meet the electorate”, or to steer clear of “hot button issues” because people don’t care about that, or anything that mentions a purity test. Not only is it outright offensive, it’s so blatantly lazy.

Conservative hypocrisy knows no bounds. 💯😒
It’s “Canada’s” coast but “Alberta’s” oil.

I maintain everything I’ve ever said about rural Alberta. Battle River-Crowfoot, despite what you say, you sure must love Ottawa. As you just elected the Ottawa establishment, personified, to never represent your interests in parliament. Congratulations on fully embodying the dumb hick stereotype.

CBC embarrassing themselves. Again. Bothsidesing a labour dispute is gross. You serve the public. Even if we buy the BS that you’re “neutral”, saying passengers are “caught in between” is not. Maybe try reporting how attendants aren’t paid for their work, or the bonuses of execs. You know, facts.

If the voters of Battle River-Crowfoot hand PP his ass (again) today, I promise not to say another bad thing about rural Alberta until after the next election. 🤞🙏🤠

It is incredibly disappointing that the CBC somehow continues to find infinite time to platform the delusions of a minuscule amount of AB separatists, whilst also limiting and bothsidesing topics like genocide, the climate crisis, and the rights of trans people to exist. #cdnpoli

I just watched the first half of season 2 of The Rehearsal last night and I am still very uncomfortable. 😅😬
We’re back tonight at 11pm on Max/11:05pm on HBO! Need the extra 5 mins cause we’re sharing the studio with Nathan Fielder now, and we’re very scared he’s going to trap us in some sort of HBO copilot simulation – practicing how to avoid crashing the network, maybe? Anyway, we need time to hide.

Last night I discovered “Class Struggle”, a board game from 1978, which guarantees a bleakly realistic and educational (if not fun) playing experience. And I absolutely need to play it at least once in my life to feel complete. @keithzg.ca

“For such a subject, identity might best be described as process with multiple sites for becoming and being. To understand…we would need to do more than map…journeys between male and female and within queer and straight space; we would need…to think in fractal terms and about gender geometries.” 🖤

If there’s one policy hill that I will absolutely die on (and there are many hills I would die on [honestly, I need to care less about things]), it’s public funding for private and religious schools. And yeah, I’ll probably die mad about it. 😪

“But how accurate are the polls, really?”

Turns out, actually kind of accurate. Which is weird, because the polls made me a lot more hopeful for Alberta than the election results did. Hm. 🤔

CALGARY - In a truly unexpected turn of events, Alberta has stunned voters across Canada by voting exactly the same way they have voted in every federal election for seven consecutive decades.
