While the “should we leave the ECHR?” discussion is being soft soaped by the English media, the trail of Soldier F for the murder of innocent men and children is going on over here. The ECHR has forced signatories (cases brought against UK & Turkey) to investigate when its forces use against its own

She frames it as "SNP Ministers" consciously to make it look like it would be coming out of their own pockets rather than public money.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

The Rees Moggs will still do History degrees. The Johnsons will still do Classics.
Sadly, the Wilsons from South Bank in Middlesbrough won't get the intellectual stimulation of studying a subject of interest for a degree.

Describe your BlueSky account in one image.
"Sir we all have cats we'd rather be home playing with right now."

He's very, very angry at Alliance and the fact that they didn't like his amendment to their motion, as is their right. Took it personally and suggested their accepting of the SDLP amendment infers their issue was with unionist parties rather than with the motion. Very OTT and patronising performance

Also you might think that members and especially other deputy speakers, might want to show the principal deputy speaker a bit of respect

Boy howdy, Steve Aiken really doesn't take disagreement or challenge well, does he?

Sometimes I think men might simply be too emotional for politics.

She has, as I saw someone say on here yesterday, the Miggledy-juice.

It also was a Green Party (Ireland) Minister who brought it in and it came from their party manifesto, so should be an easy sell to the England & Wales party

I had a green one a bit like this and it made me look like a (green) blobfish

Well, it's very natural that cats would win that one!

Same! And I thought, oh no, what if people don't know the real story!

The strike wouldn't have happened without trade union leadership. Leadership, not support.

The women deserve the credit, obviously, for their brave efforts & for suffering for what they believed in.

Join a trade union. They're in the front line of defence against apartheid and human rights abuses.

Not only is it not true, but the first worker to strike, Mary Manning, was actually acting on an instruction from her trade union the Irish Distributive and Administrative Trade Union, when she refused to handle South African produce.

This clip has been circulating a lot and look I don't want to be critical, it's great that it's inspiring people.

BUT. There is one thing he says that's inaccurate and it's important that people understand the reality.

He says that their trade union didn't support them. That's not true.

The story of how Ireland became the first western nation to implement a nationwide ban on South African goods during the apartheid era beautifully told. This cheered me up immensely.

CHATGPT: I understand where you're coming from. You worked really hard to get here, and now it's time to enjoy the fruit of your labors.

ISILDUR: So I should keep it? Elrond says I shouldn't

CHATGPT: The ring is precious. Sometimes friends don't have your best interests at heart.

ISILDUR: true

Oh I was there! The "where does the post say Ireland?" as a gotcha just sent me to the fair.

The arrogance of that person's post. They know nothing about this place but never hesitate to talk down to us.

I know the Dublin GAA team are disproportionately well-funded, but fourth largest economy in the world? That's a stretch.
