#Orctober Day 6: Orc

The only thing The Boss takes more seriously than her job is hitting dingers in the inter-office baseball league.

The Boss, an orc woman with red hair, a nose ring, sharp tusks, and red war paint streaking down her face, closes her eyes in quiet contemplative thought. She seems isolated from the world around her, as though she's shutting the world out to focus. She thinks to herself: "I was put on this rock for one thing. I was born to overcome any obstacle."

Panel 2. We see The Boss from the waist up. She's wearing a black t-shirt and ball cap, holding a baseball bat branded with the word "NIGHTMARE" at the ready. She looks determined. She continues her thoughts: "Like my ancestors before me, warclub in hand... I will rise to meet any challenge..."

Panel 3. The Boss swings and makes contact with a ball, distorting the world even further in a bright halo of light. The Boss herself is a black silhouette with energy streaking off her as the bat makes a thunderous "KEERRRRACCCKK". She continues: "And I will CRUSH IT."

Panel 4. Seen from behind home plate, the ball sails off into the sky, fading into a glint of light. The Boss casually tosses aside her bat and begins to walk the bases. In the field, the opposing team react poorly to this home run. From offscreen, a voice says "Annnd another one's going to space."

Panel 5.
In the dugout, we see Ungrid the half orc and Elspeth the elf. She's wearing orange athletic shoes, a baseball cap, and a t-shirt that matches The Boss's. A better view of it can now be seen, and the graphic on it is The Boss's raging face with the words "Bloody Basilisks" above and below it. Ungrid holds on to her cap as she watches the ball soar away and says "I think that was our last ball, too."
Elspeth, wearing the same t-shirt and baggy sweatpants, tosses her cap away lazily and says "Oh thank god. Good game or whatever. I'll be in the truck."

Text in the top left tells us that this scene takes place earlier in the day. Ungrid and Elspeth are getting ready for the game at home, looking like they just rolled out of bed. Ungrid is wearing a blue and yellow floral sports bra as she puts her hair up into a big bun to fit her cap. Elspeth wears black lacy lingerie and a pink nightgown, holding up her Bloody Basilisks T-shirt. Incredulously, she says "if The Boss thinks I'm wearing this, she's officially gone nuts. Seriously... What even IS a basilisk?"
Shamelessly, this panel exists to show off the shirt because I'm pleased with the design I made.
