This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

Are you exhausted by the world? Come take refuge in my weird and wonderful corner of #Bluesky - where I post medical history content that will make you happy to live in 2025!

Medieval urine wheels! Opium toothpaste! Cemetery guns! I got it all. I love sharing my passion for this niche subject.

The "immorality" that they find so objectionable in Soho may be that many gay people and (horrors) women go there to enjoy themselves.

A Labour (in name only) govt of authoritarian technocrats burning through police resources to stamp out peaceful protest, all in defence of genocide.
Plus, a Home Secretary determined to stamp out civil liberties, "only approved protests will be permitted".
"Orwellian" doesn't begin to cover it.

Vicars, grannies, blind people, those in wheelchairs all being physically carried away by police, one at a time after their rights are read… All for holding a placard.

…instead of the police being used to stop rape, burglary, domestic violence and theft. This farce has to break, surely.

I don't find antique ivory as objectionable, and I can understand it having great sentimental value to an old lady.
My Mum had a Victorian hairbrush with inlaid ivory. When she passed away, we gave it to the Beamish Museum.
But, I'd happily get medieval on people with modern ivory.

If it were up to me, trade in or possession of ivory would be as unacceptable & face the same sort of penalties as child pornography. If you share this view, please consider signing this petition.

YES LET'S!

Hi I'm Melissa, and I make friendly (but often bitey) monsters called the Woolbeasts in clay and watercolor.

I also do a fair amount of Baba Yaga Chicken Shacks, and have a kickstarter starting next week for a book all about wee Shacklings.

💖 thanks! 💖
Photograph of a sculpture with a flat grey backgound: the sculpture is of a purple creature with little horns and its tounge sticking out. It's knitting a long colorful scarf. Photo of a sculpture in a mossy garden with leaves in the background. The sculpture is a small chicken-legged hut (Baba Yaga's house) painted purple with a green roof and a large eyeball where a dormer window would be over the door. watercolor painting with a white border: The painting is of a tree canopy with strawberry birds perched around it. In the foreground is a large strawberry bird with teeth and jam dripping down onto the branch below.. where a bird appears to be missing.. oh no. Graphite drawing: The drawing is of a chicken standing in a brambly bush with thorns and bees around. On top of the chicken is a small witches' hut, and on top of the hut is a little mouse witch talking to a bee. The witch is drinking a bloody mary.

There's so much incest in the Old Testament, you could almost think that the Bronze & Iron Age bards who created the stories knew their (paying) audience of chieftains, high priests, etc, had a thing for shagging their daughters.

Do help pass this on please in the hope it reaches the right people. Thank you

Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" is a great song; it was a reliable floor filler at a club night I ran in the 80s, popular with every tribe from goths to casuals. Interesting interview here with the models who appeared in the video, always a favourite, for obvious reasons.

To me, all the locals are "southern softies" (an opinion I usually keep to myself).

I think the Ojibwe hit the nail on the head here. I need at least two cups of black medicine water first thing before I can contemplate any sophisticated or complex behaviours - like talking, walking in a straight line, etc.

Mone, like very many in the House of Lords, particularly but not exclusivley on the Tory benches, is a thief.
She should be in jail and the whole rotten farrago of donors, placemen crooks & cronies given places for life in our legislature should be abolished.

Here I am in 2020 in the flimsiest, most pitful PPE - like so many other NHS staff, some of whom died from the Covid they caught in their hospitals.

Tory peer Michelle Mone - who today lost her legal case & must repay the govt £122m - dares to claim she’s been ‘scapegoated’.

What, Michelle? 🧵
