My parents gave my son this Creature from the Black Lagoon action figure for Xmas (his favorite monster). It’s awesome. The box says 17+ but it’s just the same quality of action figure I had as a kid. His other “guys,” made for
kids, are crap. They make crap for kids now and up-charge adults.

I find myself at a child’s Toy Story themed birthday party. They put army men on the cupcakes. My son took it off to eat the cupcake, and I had a visceral reaction when he started to throw the army man away.

My son knows the Carl Barks Uncle Scrooge comic but he doesn't know A Christmas Carol, so he thought the Pentatonix song about Scrooge is about the duck. So I told my wife he needs to watch A Christmas Carol. "With Muppets," she added. "WITH MUPPETS!?!" exclaimed my son, more confused than ever.
