THE NUREMBERG IDEA: THINKING HUMANITY IN HISTORY, LAW & POLITICS forthcoming 2026; human rights, history & law

Exactly:
I wrote about the increasing use of overt Great Replacement rhetoric in ICE recruiting tools, and why American Jewish organizations like the ADL should be a lot more frightened of ICE than they are of Zohran Mamdani. forward.com/opinion/7983...
Amid raids, vitriol and violence, the great replacement theory rears its head in Minneapolis
In Minneapolis, the poisonous mix of antisemitism and anti-immigrant rhetoric of the great replacement theory is becoming newly clear.

Regarding Greenland.Trump wants to rename it after himself. He wants Mercator maps in the future -- where Greenland looks continent-sized -- to feature his name. Seriously, that's why he won't let go of it, even when he know the US already has all the military access it needs
You're going to read a lot of headlines out of Davos that misleadingly suggest that a transatlantic crisis has passed. But if you listen to Trump's entire speech, it sounds like the crisis is just getting started.
Beware The "Trump Won't Use Force in Greenland" Headlines
The transatlantic crisis is hardly over. Trump is so psychotic that Mark Carney is telling the truth about the 'rules-based international order.' PLUS: Three podcasts I guested on!

1) Trump says he won't use force

2) Trump is "insistent" on taking over Greenland

Try to square those two headlines.

If Europe found a way for him to save face and move on, great. But Carney's speech was still spoken and was still true. The bell has rung.

Trump: "Based upon a very productive meeting I had with Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region. This solution, if consummated, will be a great one... Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs"

Exactly:
"For more than 75 years, the fondest dream of Russian strategy has been to divide Western Europe from the U.S. and break the NATO alliance.

"That is now a possibility as President Trump presses his campaign to capture Greenland."
