Went to karaoke last night and made a video for my almost 2 year old niece. She loves the villain songs, but I’ve never done Poor Unfortunate Souls, so she’ll have to settle for Part of Your World. #karaoke #timelinecleanse #Disney #Millenial #TheLittleMermaid #JustAnotherAltoTryingToBeASoprano

I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness.

You could be next.

This better be the best sweater I ever make because it is taking me forever to do.

Note to self: don’t make a sweater that is 95% single crochet. #crochet #sweater #lovethecolors

2026 Meal Prep week 2. Meatloaf (bell peppers mixed in) with mashed potatoes and butter corn, honey garlic steak with creamy spinach orzo, and Dijon roasted chicken with chicken flavored kaizen rice. Roasted carrots will also be an option for all meals.

I spent the last few days rereading The Endgame by Riley Hart just so I could come here and talk about it. This is probably my 3rd or 4th read since it came out in 2021, so obviously I absolutely adore it.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but cops are not allowed to shoot people just because you didn't do what they said.

That is called murder when they do that.

Some cops are working hard to convince people otherwise.

Somehow, I keep forgetting to check this app. Welp. 2026 is already a shit show, so I will be focusing on books, crocheting, and Heated Rivalry for the next little while.

I’m also over on Threads and will be reviewing books over there in case I forget this place again.

They’re also the people who believe Catholics aren’t Christians because history doesn’t exist for them. Somehow, they rationalize that Protestantism is the ONLY way to be a Christian despite only existing because of Catholicism.
The people constantly braying about “Christian values” are attacking the Pope for suggesting that we love others.

Pretty sure one of the contestants in #SpringBakingChampionship starting singing the Mr. Golden Sun song from Barney and was immediately cut off before she could get too far into it. PBS must have a copy-write on it.

Catching up on #RockTheBlock and I never thought I’d find worse wallpaper than the Christopher Columbus themed wallpaper i my childhood kitchen. The elk wallpaper is somehow even worse.

Just FYI, my aunt passed away on Palm Sunday, which according to Catholic lore meant she got to go straight to Heaven. The Pope passed 8 days later and is apparently hanging out in Purgatory until enough people pray for his soul.

Watching the Pope’s funeral and hearing the Kyrie is bringing back memories of the time the Bishop came to Nativity to install the new monsignor (the prior one was a pedophile and was “in absentia” after he was removed).

Of course I’ve got thrush. At least I was able to do an on demand appointment through my insurance and should be able to start my prescription tomorrow. But seriously. FML

Must write this eulogy tomorrow. I have to stop putting it off.

I crocheted a headband for my 20 month old niece, so she can wear it to our aunt’s funeral next week. 🧶

One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind.

An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one."

The other said, "Take him anyway."

So they did.

Me, a Choir Kid, choosing funeral songs: “No, we will absolutely not be singing Here I Am Lord as an entrance song. It is a Communion song.”

My aunt died this morning. She was only 68 and should have had decades more with us. It’s a weird feeling to know that she’s not a phone call away. I can’t call her to talk about Supernatural or to bitch about Trump. No more Christmas cards or Jeremiah the Bullfrog.

Trying to sleep, but my brain has decided I need a mashup of Fleetwood Mac, Prince, and the Counting Crows to be stuck in my head.

How in the actual fuck can they justify removing Harriet Tubman from a webpage dedicated to the fucking Underground Railroad?

Republicans complain about erasing history by removing statues of enslavers, but they’re fine with erasing Black people from history in any way they can. They’re repugnant.

Watching an episode of Cupcake Wars from 2010-ish. Did the mid-90’s chocolate lips come back briefly in the early 10’s? How did I miss that?
