25-75% of every federal law enforcement agency working immigration comes at the expense of drug/arms/human trafficking, money laundering, fraud, corruption, robbery, counterintelligence, terrorism, CSEM and rape investigations. I personally doubt this is unintentional.

Now, I'm not a Venezuelan expert or a Trump scholar, but this seems a little out of character to me.

Why did the Trump administration insist on the in-person attendance of all top military leadership at their meeting last week except the leadership of the states' National Guard? At a rally for a war on "the enemy within," you'd think they'd want the Guard there.

They're trying so hard to provoke an excuse to escalate. The best strategy is to deny them what they're begging for. Focus on your state and local elections and then put everything you have into retaking Congress with people that represent you in the midterms. Don't ever sit out another election.

They won't affect the Maduro regime, which doesn't depend on revenue from drug trafficking for its survival. Rather, weekly strikes in the Caribbean are both propaganda and precedent for the arbitrary use of lethal force against civilians accused of criminal offenses.

The drone strikes in the Caribbean are neither counternarcotics nor part of a buildup towards regime change. They're too infrequent and in the wrong part of the world to be counternarcotics. Interdiction continues as it did before in the Pacific where most U.S.-bound cocaine transits.
