A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

They’re deporting US Army veterans.

They say if they’re undocumented, they must go.

Such a selfish group of human beings.

They consider undocumented immigrants “good enough” to go to war and possibly die for the country, but not good enough to avoid deportation.

Ghouls.

The expiry of the New START treaty means that for the first time in decades, there are no mutually agreed constraints on the US and Russia’s long-range nuclear arsenals. Here's what to know
Why Fears of a Nuclear Arms Race Are Rising After US-Russia Treaty Expires
The New START treaty served as a bulwark against a renewed nuclear arms race between the US and Russia, who together possess almost 90% of the world’s atomic warheads. The bilateral accord expired on Feb. 5. As a result, for the first time in decades, there are no mutually agreed constraints on the countries’ long-range nuclear arsenals.

If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

Democracy dies in oligarchy.

His parents are legal asylum seekers with no criminal record.

Federal agents are pulling over off duty cops based on the color of their skin.

This is not a serious operation to enforce immigration law. It’s a performative show of force and it’s gotten way out of hand.

I've heard others say it and I'm really feeling it too. We should definitely embrace the American flag as part of the resistance to fascism and the authoritarian government. It must stand as a symbol of decency and democracy, not what the GOP is trying to rebrand it as.

From day one, when he came down that elevator, Trump's been working for Putin, & now comes Trump's gift of all gifts to the Russian thug---US withdrawal from NATO.
Putin will now be free to threaten to use his nukes & submarines to conquer all of Europe.

“If the Justice Department can be leveraged to destroy the sacrosanct independence of the Federal Reserve, then Trump will be completely unbound and we are heading for economic trouble and constitutional ruin,” our columnist Thomas Friedman writes.
Opinion | Trump’s Scheming to Sack Powell Paves the Road to Constitutional Ruin
A criminal investigation of a sitting Fed chairman, with the obvious intent of stripping him of his independence, has never happened before.
