Errands are essentially "living logistics." And I've seen job posts for "assistants to CEO/executive" where the job duties included picking up dry cleaning or laundry service or groceries. Companies subsidize this for their highest earners yet they don't value the people doing it.

Yeah a lot of jobs do not like accommodating a sick person's schedule. It's one thing to have wheelchair access in the workplace, it's another to fire someone because they ran out of allotted sick days but still can't come in. Plus limited or nonexistent public transit schedules!

Are they making a big deal out of the hour-ish of television difference? The chart shows people spend two more hours caring for others. And even tv time is probably "on-call" time for most. It's an easy activity to drop when grandma needs her butt wiped.

Whatever awareness the Floyd protests made has been gently soothed and cuddled away by conservative daytime news channels. My mom blames my "radicalized" viewpoint on foreign bots spreading dissent. I don't think we will catch up because there's so much cushion for the clueless.

Not anime, just a book-book rec, but you might like "My Heart is a Chainsaw" - a troubled teen who religiously watches horror movies becomes convinced a real life horror movie will play out in her small, remote town. Especially when a new student is an obvious Final Girl.

Ooooh! "Yuri is My Job" is a really cute one. Girls work at a themed cafe built around the lore and students of a fictional girl's school. It centers on conflicts of maintaining an image, and roleplay vs real feelings. While also playing with tropes of vintage Class S romance, which is very fun.

Less than 15 people are responsible for a massive majority (I think 80%) of school book bans all over the US. A few complaints turn "trans athlete bans" into a serious statewide consideration.
