I’m a person that loves gardening but is allergic to plants, reads constantly, loves movie and TV, and is addicted to social media.

My profile pic is a piece of artwork that my sister created when she was in college, and the flowers were from my garden.

I do not understand why people don’t understand that one of the problems with sending people to other countries to be imprisoned is that it seems that we have a process that does not have a mechanism to reverse potential errors.

From the Supreme Court ruling to allow the sentencing to go forward in Trump versus New York.

Thousands of echo chambers spreading misinformation and blocking the people that tell them they’re wrong is not a good look.

It’s not that hard to look up the actual details of things like the fairness doctrine or the licensing system for broadcasters in the United States.

Reminder, just because a famous Supreme Court decision was overturned. It doesn’t mean that other disconnected Supreme Court decisions are likely to be overturned, especially ones that are based around the first amendment.

I’ve complained about this on various forms of social media, if you’re an online journalist and you were writing about court rulings, decisions, or filings, please include a link to those things.

When you open the floodgates both good and bad things can flow through, but I’m glad they’re finally open.

Hi. Just a friendly reminder:

“Dobbs will make the difference when it comes to voting in the 2024 general election” is a very naive, stupid, and hyper privileged take.

The same awful take that happened in 2016, when SCOTUS lifetime appointments were literally in play.

Please read:

I’ve written about this for years & shared our journey.

Door to door and those allegedly fun “trunk or treats” (just say you do Halloween)… they were always a welcome outing but still such a sad disappointment when my child was young. There wasn’t any treat he could have.

If you want to sue someone or an organization even when you are certain you’ll lose just to cause them to spend money defending against that lawsuit you are trying to weaponize the legal system and hopefully you will end up paying the legal fees.

I Didn’t think I’d see any more flowers in my yard this year, but I went outside today and found these.

Giving a defendant multiple opportunities to mend their ways before the hammer really falls is something that should happen in every courtroom.

Don’t look at a 10,000 dollar fine as a slap on the wrist, look at it as the judge going through what should be a normal process.

I hate to say it, but after a few days of using this service and interactions with other people, the echochambers seem almost worse here than on the other website.

Reminder: Someone explaining their understanding of the actual nature of the law or government regulation to you is not trolling.

The FCC’s website is one of the best resources to understand the FCC powers and the limitations on FCC powers…

Reminder, if you were going to demand that other people research your assertions about the Fairness doctrine, don’t get mad when they come back with links that disapprove those assertions
The fairness doctrine has been described time and again in various FCC reports published in the federal registry
