Also, don't know if you listen to @rachelgilmore.bsky.social podcast. But two weeks ago she shared recordings of far right groups specifically discussing how they're influencing Conservatives to push the Overton window on an anti-immigrant, white nationalist agenda. Ugh...

I think Trump's contagion was obvious in 2016. It's all PP has to offer is knock-off Trumpism. But a good part of all of this is the work of the IDU. I am endlessly ashamed that a Canadian is the chair.

It's jealousy. He's worried she'll get the Nobel peace prize that he seemingly wants. 🙄

Meanwhile, it is amazing that she's still out there pushing forward on activism instead of going on tour and charging people to listen to her talk about activism.

Worth noting that all the "Axe the tax" rhetoric was supposedly about affordability. Grocery priced didn't go down and now low income families are no longer getting their carbon rebate cheques.

Really deserves more attention as PP starts on his next round of complaining.

As of yet, they haven't figured out how to make it pay for itself. It's all running on speculation and advertising.

Hot take: If it prevents people from earning money for basics like food, then they're not going to pay for AI, even through government subsidies because AI doesn't pay taxes.

I'm surprised anyone thinks that AI is accurate. I assumed that people who use the AI overviews think they're the same as the website content overviews that Google used to provide.

It's what I think whenever I hear a clip from PP on the radio. It's so easy to poke holes in what other people are doing and shout slogans. (Axe the tax! Build the homes! Stop the crimes!)

But it's a lot harder to do the work needed to solve those problems.

I'm not on TikTok, so only learning about this through my other socials. I can't help thinking how great it would be if all the rapture believers did suddenly zoom off because then the rest of us could get the real work done on climate change and equity without their interference. 😂
