The Canada jay isn't one of the rarities of the Sax-Zim Bog, but I've loved this bird ever since a trip to northern Vermont years ago, and have been so happy to see them in Minnesota.

They're so inquisitive and always give such a friendly vibe. #birds

Love this group! To celebrate, here is a great gray owl at sunrise. It looks very celebratory, no? #bird

What do you think: is this the most adorable owl in the US?

Meet the boreal owl! I've just been at the Sax-Zim Bog in northern Minnesota, where I was able to see two of them with my young son. More owls and other wildlife to follow from the Bog... #bird

Who else gets excited about an awesome bird like this brown thrasher, which isn't flashy but is *so cool* and sadly, increasingly harder to see in New England? I've never seen one in winter before, so that's also fun.

Two views of a beautiful golden-crowned kinglet. They are such active little birds! I was thrilled to get a few photos in the split seconds it stayed still. #bird #borb #🪶#birdphotography

Snowy owl: a seasonal visitor to Massachusetts and a very welcome sight after at least a few years of not getting out to see them.

It took me more than 4 years to capture a scene I could only dream of. A magnificent Condor soars above the peaks of Argentina's Mount Fitz Roy, as they are spot lit in beautiful morning light. 🪶

A different kind of calming image today - one from a river estuary in northern #Iceland taken in June 2021 with my drone. The patterns of the river braids and estuaries can be magical.

And thank you so much for all the love on yesterday's wave image 🌊🇮🇸🙏😊

Wow, I love the warm welcome here! I mentioned in my first post that I enjoy drone photography and filming. I fly a DJI Mavic 3 and mostly film in the US (for fun and freelance), & have brought it to Costa Rica & Colombia. I especially love working with nonprofits. 1/3: Cape Cod - Gray's Beach
