It’s a beautiful thing to see fellow Americans who care about immigrants so much they do this 😭 give me more of this please, we need it.
rocks so hard that the world’s coolest city will always show up for justice
“Fuck ICE!” chants & a brass band performing “Which side are you on?” as hundreds march in Manhattan, NYC against ICE and in solidarity with Minneapolis.

The government is saying that violence rules. That snatching foreign leaders and territories, and shooting US citizens in their cars at point blank range, is justified. That resistance is not only futile, it is dangerous. They can say these things. But they cannot force us to believe them.

This is just an exhausting way to exist as a nation. It’s not sustainable.

There are only three possible outcomes for undocumented immigrants in this country: mass deportation, amnesty, or legal limbo (i.e., status quo for last 40 years). The first causes violence in communities and harassment of citizens. The third quietly ruins people's lives, as opportunities pass them.

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

america is about to face a test of whether to believe the fiftieth-hand testimony of the State protecting its own vile interests or lots of video footage from various angles and it's a test not everyone will pass.

I’m here for this energy. More of this please! Use that multi billion dollar military budget instead.
Rep. MIKE LEVIN (D-Calif.) is going to introduce a bill that will prevent the use of taxpayer funding to rebuild Venezuela's infrastructure.

The aim is to prevent taxpayer money from being used to help oil companies who go into Venezuela.

A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

I will never understand why I order on the app for Starbucks, go through the drive-thru to pick it up and they’re like “let me check if it’s ready.” “Okay you can pull forward.” It doesn’t matter if it’s ready? I am already in line? Where would I go other than forward?

Getting into the elevator at my apartment with a guy also wearing mismatched sweatpants and coat and feeling solidarity. This is the vibe, we understand the assignment.

There is no stress like my mother on Christmas Eve waiting for my sister’s dog to arrive and putting a baby gate on the stairs at 10:30pm because she can’t fathom letting that dog go upstairs for even a moment.

Undecided voter: “How can someone like you convince me that my vote matters”

James Talarico: “They wouldn't be trying so hard to stop you from voting if your vote didn't matter — Texas is one of the hardest places to vote in the entire country. That is by design”

Just want to share with my American friends how the Australians respond to a shooting tragedy. Action, rather than thoughts and prayers.

I sat down with 20 undecided Texas voters on @jubileemedia.bsky.social’s Surrounded.

One of them brought up “welfare queens” so I told him the truth:

The biggest welfare queens in this country are the giant corporations that don’t pay a penny in federal taxes.

I just saw an influencer post a video of herself 11 hours postpartum going to take a shower and promoting all of the products she was using and…I think we’ve lost our way, folks. The influencers have gone too far. We need to stop buying their promoted crap because we’re encouraging this insanity.

I’m a little pissed at jasmine Crockett for running for senate instead of backing James Talarico who has been running an excellent campaign. This is why we can’t have nice things, y’all always ruin it by being greedy. You’re as bad as the 70yo’s who won’t give up power. TX can’t afford this mess.

Perfect example of why I’m still single:

Me, enters elevator on the 2nd floor of my apt bldg to go up to my floor. There is a man inside.

Him: in two years I’ve never seen someone get on the elevator to go up

Me: I was getting my mail
….

Him, exiting on his floor: well have a good night

Spotify wrapped day is my least favorite day all year. I don’t want to steal from anyone’s joy (there’s so little of it in the world), but as a person who doesn’t use Spotify or even really listen to much music, I find the nonstop posts about it overstimulating. (Aka annoying—sorry it’s true).

Thank you to the United States Postal Service for losing my new drivers license in the mail AND ruining Christmas because I am receiving exactly zero mail including Christmas cards. Y’all are the literal worst.
