Autistic me keeps telling myself over and over that one day life will make sense and I’ll suddenly just become like everybody else and be able to do all the things. Not instead feel physically tense when you’re around too many people.
Fast forward to 38 and I’m still telling myself the same stuff.

Was reading an autistic person's story of being excluded on the playground and it was honestly so scary, as a kid, experiencing times when you would walk up to groups and they would literally somehow know you were different and instantly reject you. It happened regularly and no one could explain it.
