• I'm planning out what I can do in my spare time so that decision paralysis doesn't come for me, so I don't doomscroll for hours on end
• I'm seeing my doctor next week to adjust my meds
• I'm trying to be kind to myself and give myself grace when I don't manage to do all of the above

Anyway, I'm putting a lot of effort into trying to get my brain back on the right track.
• I'm trying to do some light-to-moderate exercise every morning.
• I'm trying to eat breakfast every day (I don't normally eat during the day...)
• I'm trying to get out into the sunshine more

Also I'm cutting my cannabis use cold turkey because I realized that it's been masking my depression symptoms for a while and I was just ignoring them by getting high. 🤡

I hate talking about my mental health when I'm going through a depressive episode because I worry people will think I'm whiny, but otoh I want to talk about it to normalize it 😩

Also it helps not to feel so alone if I talk about it openly.

Bumping this! I'm still searching for localizers for the following below. If that's you, or if you know someone who it fits, please reach out! This is a paid, short term, fully remote opportunity, though you must be in Ontario due to grant restrictions.

Hey game dev! Looking for Ontario-based localization partners (either a company or individuals) for:
- French
- German
- Japanese
- Simplified Chinese
- Spanish

These do not all have to be done by the same person. Must be comfortable working with queer themes/pronouns and complex narratives! Thanks

Went foraging on the weekend, here's a thread of mushrooms I saw.

These are Owl Eyes, or Phellodon tomentosus

#fungifriends
A small cluster of Owl Eyes, or Phellodon tomentosus. They are irregularly shaped, funnel like fungi with a brown center and a white outline around the edge. They are growing out of the forest floor, amongst pine needles, moss and pinecones.

I wanna read hello sunshine 2 so bad!!!

Any finally, if you made it to the end, here's the haul I got from foraging. 😊
Four piles of different types of mushrooms: lobster mushrooms on the left, oyster mushrooms up top, chanterelles on the bottom, and admirable boletes on the right

Even more mushrooms I didn't identify. #fungifriends
Many small beige fan-like mushrooms growing out of the side of a log Three polypores growing from a tree trunk; they have brown striations on the top, and a white bottom A small coral type fungus growing in the moss Several brown and white polypores growing from the end of a decaying log

Here's even more mushrooms I couldn't identify.

Some small orange fan mushrooms growing out of a log Some brown funnel shaped mushrooms with orange gills A tan coloured mushroom growing out of the moss Many, many small yellow mushrooms growing out of a decaying log

Witch's butter!

#fungifriends
Small blobs of orange goop growing out of a downed tree branch

The admirable bolete, or aureoboletus mirabilis. Another choice edible, if you can find them before they get too buggy. This one was prime!

#fungifriends
An admirable bolete growing from a stump, surrounded by moss. The bolete is purple, with white specks on the top of the cap, and some streaking on the stipe The same bolete but held in my hand. The streaking on the stipe is more visible here.

Strawberries and Cream, aka hydnellum peckii. Not edible, but mature specimens can be used for dying wool or silk.
#fungifriends
A mushroom with a convex, irregularly shaped top, with a reddish brown center and white outer rim. Small red droplets that look like blood are speckled around the white edge A very small hydnellum peckii

The Pacific golden chanterelle, cantharellus formosus. A choice edible.

Lobster mushrooms!! I was so excited to find these. They're russula brevipes that have been parasitized by the hypomyces lactifluorum fungus, and are a prized edible mushroom.
#fungifriends
A hint of an orange mushroom poking up out of the forest floor Some more orange mushrooms poking out if the forest floor An orange lobster mushroom fully exposed to the world

Gemmed puffball; these guys are edible when young, though I have yet to try one.

I /think/ this chonker is a russula brevipes, or a short stemmed russula.

#fungifriends
The cap of a short stemmed russula poking out of the ground The same russula as before, but I am holding it. It's got a massive stem, about 3 inches diameter. It's a big white mushroom.
