The frustrating aspect of this story - and evident to anyone who has looked into what happened - is that so much pain was caused by someone who seems to have been certain there wouldn’t be any repercussions for their actions.

The league says they’ve looked into it, and yet…

With all of the stuff about the Wave, I'm reminded of the Craig Harrington thing at América insofar as either no due diligence/investigation was done, it was done half-assed, or it was done and the bad things were ignored. Those are literally the only three conclusions, none of which are acceptable!

Wave FC is being sued, in part, for racial and disability discrimination

A new plaintiff has joined the lawsuit against San Diego Wave FC and the NWSL.

According to the latest filing, Jane Doe 2 alleges her supervisor sent explicit messages on Snapchat, including dick pics. When she did not reciprocate, she was not assigned shifts.

The “standard of excellence” included racial and disability discrimination, sexual harassment, and failure to investigate and prevent harassment, according to a lawsuit filed by former Wave FC employees in October.

Last month, 5 former employees filed a lawsuit against the San Diego Wave, alleging numerous offenses.

The lawsuit is a damning indictment of the toxic environment cultivated under club president Jill Elliis.

Important to remember that the lawsuit filed against the Wave doesn’t just name Ellis as a perpetrator.

Many of the individuals named in the body of the suit still work in the organization, individuals that allegedly ignored reports of harassment and actively cultivated a toxic environment.

Does Berman know fandom hates Jill Ellis? Has anyone ever conveyed that to her?

That the league dismissing concerns, “investigating” themselves, allowing a petty tyrant to run a team like a fiefdom, commissioning the Yates report & ignoring Ellis being cited many times - this engenders mistrust?
