Americans' economic and political pains mainly stem from unprecedented concentration of our wealth, a few dozen mega-billionaires control 12%.

They buy a lot of politicians, media outlets, & influencers to distract from their power by blaming our pain on immigrants, DEI, women's careers...

Buckle up.
Just 34 people control 12% of income in the U.S. and people still think immigrants are the problem.

I've harped on congressional war powers for a long time and we do need to fix all that, but threatening to invade Greenland while ranting at Norway about the Nobel Peace Prize and imposing trade sanctions on NATO is more the kind of thing you can only fix by not having a literally insane president.

We ask students do lit reviews as means to become familiar with the field, critically assess evidence, learn how to write, establish justification for research questions. If we outsource it to a bullshit engine that makes up citations we might as well just give up on the whole idea of education.
Listening to a discussion about AI in university education with Amol Rajan & Prof Duncan Iveston on Radio 4 Today. Too short to get into the nuance of course, but an observation that copilot can do a literate review for you very quickly perfectly illustrates one of my main concerns with AI…1/1

Domestically, of course, opposition in Congress should stop all participation in all normal business until the majority is compelled to restrain the mad king president. If this is how the administration operates when funded, shut the government down again and again until concessions stop him.

I do feel the need to apologize to Europe. I know it doesn't matter that we've spent years warning our fellow Americans that something like this would happen. But we did. What's happening today is largely the result of Trump successfully shaming the press from talking about his treachery with Putin.

There is no "actually to remove Trump from office the solution is not to talk about Trump being removed from office."

That is not a thing. You want to remove him you push to remove him. Same for Abolishing ICE, passing universal health care, whatever. Push for the thing and don't censor yourself.
