If they got to the point where they're following the evolution of scientific thought then I think we'd have 'em on understanding and trusting how science advances. And then hopefully they'd be on board with our latest ideas.
I am aware this is quite fanciful thinking...

The Green party has had a tremendous surge, but as one of the smaller parties it's still not really considered a mainstream option. Plus they don't use the repulsive but effective tactics of the rightwing parties of scapegoating random communities and offering to get rid of them, so it's tricky.

The main headlines are that a lot of centre right voters who lost trust in the last Tory govt have been pushed to Reform UK with the help of the general media using asylum seekers and trans people as scapegoats for the country's problems. And there's a gap in the left now where labour used to be-

On the smaller parties: further to the left you have the Green party (yay) who are mainly known for championing environmental policy change but have a wide liberal equality mandate. Further right you have Reform UK- the "ban pride parades, remove books on trans people, kick out immigrants" party

Traditionally you have the Conservatives (tories) centre right and Labour centre left- those have both shifted further right recently but generally those are our Republican/Democrat equivalent. Lib Dems are the liberalism party, they were doing okay until we had a lib dem/tory coalition-

I will not blame Jewish communities for being afraid. I'm furious anyone has to feel that way because of their faith. But I won't let Labour Hitler paint anti-genocide protest as threatening to Jewish people. And I hope to fuck my Jewish friends and neighbours are smart enough to know the difference

So I'm left imagining them plotting in a dark room going, "well if we make the free Gaza people look antisemitic and the Jewish people look anti Palestine, they'll be too busy fighting each other to notice we've taken their right to protest away! As depressed and sceptical as I am about our current government, I managed to be surprised that our Kier Leader is using the Jewish community as cover for giving the police MORE anti protest powers.
Ignorant? Or deliberately trying to make Jewish people and pro Palestine protesters warring groups?
