People will never stop rationalizing their basic impulse to ignore or reject things that make them uncomfortable. The excuses will never stop, and neither will their reasoning stay consistent. One second you’re too rigid, the next you’re a hypocrite b/c you eat food or use money enjoy something.

I'm not even the 10th most politically active person in my social group and I get that already: people who feel guilty for not doing enough who decide to tear me down, latching on one of my many faults so they don't have to think of how they contribute to the problem.
