Claes comes when called, but never actually stops when she gets to me. Just keeps running right by.

This annoyed me somewhat because I called her for a reason... but as it happens, 70% of the time that reason is "please do not be stuck somewhere, you little gremlin." So i guess it's fine.

The review of waiting for godot going around is reminding me of when a friend came to see me in nyc. I thought we should see a play, get half price day of tickets. She suggested lion king. When i made a face she suggested seussical. I sighed heavily and got us tick... tick... boom!

Honestly you want good dirt, there are many books compiled of yeats' letters. He admired Blavatsky WAY too much but everyone else you could hear his eyes rolling.

Another fantastic book is Ronald Hutton's Triumph of the Moon which doesn't focus on them, but they're in there.

Today's tea is Gorkha estate second flush. Which I am not sure you can get anywhere right now but it's a somewhat astringent Himalayan darjeeling-alike. Light and fruity, scenting up the whole house with that muscatel vibe. Something about it evokes bai mu dan but I'm not sure what.

one thing I learned during 2020 is that "less than lethal" munitions are explicitly designed to be shot into the ground so they lose velocity and bounce up into people and the reason I didn't know that before is literally NO ONE has ever deployed them that way.

Reporter's notebook: I actually began working on this story shortly after footage of the incident showed up last month.

But by the time I finally got ahold of folks, the story grew: 2 *other* faith leaders I spoke with *also* reported being shot w/pepper balls while protesting this ICE facility.

There are a good handful of people like that, most of them women, who just do not get the credit they have coming for their level of influence.

The thing that really took my breath is that each of these has their own wikipedia page, which means she is ultimately undeniable.
