Oh yeah this one really came up strong for me at the end of the year, barely listened when it came out but then November hit and it was like everything about the sound made sense. 90s vibes are a big plus for me, one of my favorite times with the genre last year was when I found this

Oh this was just about the comment about how I should get better friends. We are in a machine with hallucinogens in the air that causes people to see a million mouths on a single body, and so I just want it to be absolutely clear that I am not one of "them", I'm just me

Hello, I'm the other side of this convo! Just to clear up any misunderstandings, I'm not friends with any of the involved parties, I just think this all would do better with a resolution than a continuation

I didn't listen to the last Dry Cleaning album, I found the artwork upsetting. This one is ok! Cate Le Bon's production is fantastic, and I love how the speaksinging vocals aren't a case of slack, it's more like they *wield* the gap with full singing, rather than merely show it. Suits the tunes!

lol yeah! People always talk about edges getting shaved off as a bad thing, but it's hard to relax around them

If I said that this Filippo Ansaldi & Simone Sims Longo album was an electroacoustic performance of sax & electronics, I bet a lot of people would expect difficult music. That's why you shouldn't assume!! It's actually super easy to listen to, lots of wonderful pileups of looping phrases, it's good!

There's moments on this Pullman album where the music feels like it's on a stealth mission, trying to advance forward without you noticing. You'll also find lightly rustled drums and guitar notes bent in midair, and some powerfully solid portions. It's a great time!

gladde paling makes the goofiest dance music, I love it so much! It's big and loud and does so many things that are completely ridiculous, and I'll have the biggest grin the entire time. Good stuff, and the album art is really nice too!!

p2p_g1rl is an exciting new project from hyphyskazerbox, with a sound and mood that gets a bit heavier than what came before. But don't worry about this being a detriment to the immediacy and listenability! Those aspects are as strong as ever, and maybe even enhanced?! The pop energy is redirected.

If you missed the fantastic 2025 output from heavensouls and stickerbush, you owe it to yourself to check out their latest. This is all so incredibly inventive, it feels like anything can happen, and everything that *does* happen ends up staying 100% true to a deeply focused perspective. Essential!!

Winged Wheel is full of established talents, but they don't have the self-seriousness of a supergroup. The music is modestly great. I guess you could call it post-rock, but it's the type where it still clearly resembles rock, with singing, guitars and drums. It's just a little post-, not a huge one.

Oh I wasn't saying that you were saying we're wrong to have our values. You're saying we're wrong to think the dems strategy is bad, because of this poll. Many feel your thinking is faulty, and that your confidence is unjustified and comes off as rude. And then the new radicals song starts to play
January 8, 2026 at 10:16 PM
You may have been polite in saying "you're all wrong to feel the way you do, because of this poll", but a lot of people are going to disagree with that, since a poll asking "what is your number 1 issue" doesn't necessarily mean what dems are doing is persuasive that they'd handle inflation

Maybe the democrats would be able to do more than convert the evil acts into the unfortunate reality if we expected them to do anything now

I think that if things are getting worse, then it cannot be called a societal improvement in any degree. This is not a picture of inadequate improvements. This is a worsening picture.

If I wanted to be hostile I would've said something about how it's a beautiful self-parody for a pollster to insist on something that's verifiably untrue just because of his poll result

I don't either, but I was assuming that your point was that the politics posting on here is a product of the political homogeneity, since you also appeared to be dismissive of people who are glad about this situation. I guess I'm not clear on what point you're actually trying to make!

The people who you mentioned are absent tend to believe my existence is a moral failing, by an overwhelming margin, so I do not think I would have a better time here with more of them around
