Trans literature has value because trans authors are human beings telling stories in their unique ways. It is profoundly frustrating to see trans authors are only valued when we write about transphobia or when we write hopeful trans stories intended to serve as an antidote to transphobia

Trying to not weigh in on this ai discussion but it’s important to remember technology exists in a political economic context and what a tech “is” and whether it is a net positive or even useful to most people is largely contingent on that context

truly hilarious that this is an attempted attack on ai critics. yeah being mean to chatgpt is eugenics. saying sam altman shouldn't be able to steal the entirety of human creative output for profit is genocide. words don't fucking mean anything

if you’re writing a sentence that sounds like eugenics but you go “oh that’s fine to say because it’s not a real person” (whatever that means) you may want to consider what made you okay with saying that

it is genuinely difficult to tally the crimes of this nation but the scale of mining pollution and the harm it wreaks on workers is something i am reckoning with lately

i learned recently about the knox mine disaster, in which the Knox Mine tunneled 6-8 feet beneath the bed of the Susquehanna, leading to 10 *billion* gallons to flood into the mine

it is hard to express the great horror of mining and its consequences. entire regions rendered sacrifice zones, polluted with heavy metals. the earth opening its mouth beneath them
