Kris McMenamin’s MISFITS is as rough-and-tumble a tale as it is a production, yet, its lack of refinement is as much a feature for the experience as it is emblematic of the narrative itself.

Streaming on Prime Video now. #MisfitstheFilm

Gotta love it when the names are staged on purpose and not due to top billing being the opposite of the aesthetic.

This movie is a lot of fun.
If you have not seen this……WATCH IT!!!! Haha it is one of my faves & is so much fun.

It’s basically the horror adaptation of Freaky Friday. And Vince Vaughn playing a woman is fn hysterical 🤣

Also has one of my top “probably 20” kill scenes in it 🔥

Did I just buy 2? Hells yes! 1 of ours from Think Geek is very dim and barely hanging on. The other has been in each kid’s room through their early years. Now we’ll have 1 replacement and 1 for future use!

“Twister” - first date and first opening night movie for my severe weather geek self. “Jurassic Park” - again, nerd. “X2” - opening night w/college friends and comic book/animated series fans.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Especially when so many do it at once expecting everyone to prioritize their film(s). They had all year to provide access!
Would give anything to disabuse the folks in charge of awards campaigns of the somehow prevalent notion that sending a link as close as possible to voting day increases its likelihood of doing well. All it actually does is decrease the likelihood that we will have time to watch it!

Had the absolute pleasure of joining Noel Thomas Manning on an episode of Meet Me at the Movies to discuss the new Noah Baumbach-directed dramedy “Jay Kelly.”

Chatting with Noel is always a joy and doing so talking about a film that surprised me is even more of one. #JayKelly #MeetMeattheMovies

ICYMI: I had the chance to see GOOD BOY, a horror film from the POV of a dog, during #SXSW 2025 and have often thought back on it since.

It releases wide this Friday, 10/3, and I get into why it resonated in this spoiler-free review. #GoodBoy
