Nice to see the Uni thriving. Yet many of the scientists who contributed to this success will have to leave in a few years. For those who don’t know — many researchers are on temporary contracts & can stay at one U. for a max. of 8y. After that, it’s either a permanent position (lol) or goodbye.

Great project and great leads! I’m honored to have shared an office with @kimdoell.bsky.social — I wish I’d asked for an autograph back then :P
Also grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to these BTS efforts.

Congratulations to @madalina.bsky.social, our former member @kimdoell.bsky.social and all of the 256(!) other collaborators for winning SPSP's Robert Cialdini prize for their manylabs project on how behavioral interventions can help address climate change 🎉

I'm excited to share the news that our climate change project won the @spspnews.bsky.social Robert Cialdini Prize for a "paper that uses field methods and demonstrates the relevance of social psychology to outside groups and communities"!

With @epronizius.bsky.social, @monabielig.bsky.social, @clauslamm.bsky.social, @protzko.bsky.social, Olena Vitkovska, and Celina Kacperski, we'll explore the ethical tensions, institutional constraints, and political risks of doing science across borders—especially in times of war or crisis.

The project also provides a large open dataset for future psycholinguistic research.

This is the largest cross-linguistic study on SP to date that used computationally selected stimuli and a continuous lexical decision task. The results reveal consistent & robust priming effects across both Latin & non-Latin languages, pointing to a generalizable cognitive mechanism of SP.

We developed a step-by-step guide to crowdsourced multiverse analysis. By involving multiple researchers in defining and running analyses, the process becomes more objective, transparent, and resistant to bias, ensuring that researchers do not cherry-pick which paths to include.

New tutorial alert! Crowdsourcing multiverse analyses to explore the impact of different data-processing & analysis decisions published in Psychological Methods.

I think it is important to understand each student’s way of mastering new skills. Everyone has their own strategies, so I made sure to stay open to any approach, but also made it clear that I wouldn’t simply drop the assignments. The student didn’t want / expect that anyway.
epronizius.bsky.social
i once had such a student. At first, I mistakenly assumed that they would need help finding their way around campus, so I was overly helpful—I think it was probably a bit annoying for them. Later, I asked how we should approach the assignments without me making assumptions about what was doable.

If you have submitted a preprint to PsyArXiv in the last year or so and it *isn't* currently accessible, there's a good chance it's due to the document listing authors whom you haven't entered in the metadata.

It was a wonderful event—thank you so much for organizing it. I love provocative questions, and I want provocative discussion to continue in 2027! For example: ‘The Dark Side of Open Science.’ How can we make Open Science truly open without exacerbating existing inequalities?...

Look what they did to Notepad. Shut the fuck up. This is Notepad. You are not welcome here. Oh yeah "Let me use Copilot for Notepad". "I'm going to sign into my account for Notepad". What the fuck are you talking about. It's Notepad.
Windows Notepad, the native simple text editor, now has formatting options and a Copilot button.

Our university switched to QuestionPro, but I don’t like it. I’m using SoSci Survey. Can highly recommend! 😃 I think Qualtrics deserves to be punished for its greed.
