Good morning! Was discharged from a week stay at an in patient treatment at Rogers mental health hospital. Best decision of my life. The staff and other patients were so great. I was so scared to go, but glad I did. I learned more about myself in one week than the last 10 years.

A ship is safest in the harbor, but it's built to sail. I was safe and miserable for a long time. Now I'm damaged taking on water and yet I've never been happier. There is nothing I wouldn't give to go back and transition earlier.
despite all the fear mongering about trans people and the attempts to abandon and actively harm us from both political parties in the US, transitioning is still the greatest decision i’ve ever made, only regret i have is not doing it younger, and that it has only made my life infinitely better

I'm the sappy person who takes inspiration from a lot of people. Being a trans woman who transitioned after 30, I hate the implied shame when I say a younger woman is an idol.

The worst part about being trans isn't the outward hateful bigots, it's knowing that some people close to you will victim-blame you when something bad happens.
Most of us have pathologically useless parents who don't care to learn about protecting us properly, but this dogshit really takes the cake.

There is a subtype of trans girl that is very pretty and passes, who will say passing doesn't matter, but then go absolutely bonkers if she ever gets clocked. The first thing said is that it's life or death for some of us.
