Hot take: there weren’t simpler times, people were just allowed to remain unchallenged in their ignorance of the complexity of reality.

A man who must put their name on everything is like an insecure dog who pees on everything in the futile effort to assert dominance.

They actually went ahead with this at a moment when antisemitism is rising.

The Coast Guard “quietly” enacted a policy downgrading swastikas to “potentially divisive.” And for an extra kick in the nuts, they downgraded nooses too.

I just saw a promo for ABC’s “The Rob Reiner Story, a Hollywood Tragedy.” Stay classy corporate media.

To honor Mr. Reiner, I just rewatched The American President. I recommend it highly. Something excellent always happened when he directed a Sorkin script. I think the best way to honor an artist is to engage with and celebrate their art.

You all realize that if the massacre in Australia happened to ANY other religious group on one of their biggest holidays, the world would be outraged & calling it terrorism & demanding an end to the “religious persecution”. Yet somehow, when it’s Jewish people, it’s just another day. /1

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

Watching the response, or lack thereof, to my post about rampant antisemitism. Seeing who my real friends are.

It’s not bad enough the Mets GM just destroyed the team. Now social media is filled with angry fans using antisemitic tropes about him. I really might be done with social media.

Any company that is a @mets.com sponsor is about to lose money. Your product or service will now be associated with losing and a lack of loyalty.

I’m watching the new Beatle’s Anthology and still wondering where is the documentary or biopic of Klaus Voorman?!?!?!

I’m watching White Christmas. I feel bad for kids who don’t know who Danny Kaye or Rosemary Clooney were. If they did they’d never settle for any “entertainment” involving a Kardashian.

I’ve never met a creative person, regardless of their level of success, whose journey has been a straight line or who has not endured setbacks and challenges. If you feel like you’re getting your ass handed to you, congratulations. You’re in the game.

There are still people doing shady things in publishing. Remember, an agent only gets paid if & when the author gets paid. If someone wants money from you in advance of anything THEY’RE NOT AN AGENT. Don’t sign anything about your career without having a legitimate lawyer reviewing it first.
