@united-airlines.bsky.social. Why can’t LGA park a plane at a gate right after the previous plane vacates the spot? 25 minutes after landing still waiting to be parked. Where did the ramp crew go that just pushed back the other plane? We were already an hour late

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

This explains why he is targeting PBS. No different from his targeting NFL players taking a knee after the league rejected his attempt to buy a stake in the Bills.
Whoa!!! This blew up! All credit goes to this TikTok post that crossed my feed:

A good example of keeping the important things straight forward. Just my two cents.
I taught a couple of cybersecurity merit badges to my daughter’s Girl Scouts troop and the parents were amazed that I made it so easy to understand for a bunch of 8 year olds

I pointed out that I had years of practice explaining the Internet to senior military officers, so this was a breeze

Amazing how this Administration tries to have it both ways. Embarrassing info is classified, unless they are caught mishandling it, then it’s not classified.
The scheduling of a Musk meeting at the Pentagon is deemed classified information and leaks about it will be investigated.

But the scheduling of a secret military strike is not classified and its disclosure on an unsecured text chat has prompted no announced investigation.

I support @benjaminwittes.bsky.social with one caveat. Assuming the Atlantic has the receipts, the names of any people “in the field” mentioned in the thread should be redacted.
Since the DNI and the CIA Director have both testified that there was no classified information in the @theatlantic.com’s “Houti PC Small Group” thread, there is no reason for the magazine not to release the entire thing. I call upon it to do so.

saw a pile of #DOGEpoop this morning in DC when I watched a uniformed Border Patrol agent babysit 2 civilians getting their breakfast INSIDE a federal building that has a security screening to enter. Talk about wasteful.

I wrote a very timely introduction to digital security for journalists for @gijn.org, this guidance may also apply to activists, lawyers, and anyone else doing at-risk work these days. gijn.org/resource/int...
Introduction to Investigative Journalism: Digital Security
Digital security may seem a little daunting at first, but increased security will help investigative journalists build trust with — and protect — current and future sources.

Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.

One thing we can all do to support Bluesky and the journalists/media on here is to click on the news stories they post.

It helps drive traffic to their site, improve their Bluesky metrics & convince senior bosses in media companies to back this platform.

So let me get this straight.

If you apply for a job at a grocery store, you have to undergo a background check.

But, if you apply to be Director of National Intelligence, you don't?

Got it.

When I first joined twitter in 2015, it was to share leadership principles, provide national security input based on experiences, and try to be an optimistic contributor.

I strayed from that, but on this new platform I will try to regain that approach.

Thanks for all who have joined me.

Remember: fascism thrives on apathy.

The autocrats want you to tune out. They want to overwhelm you. They want you to give up.

Don’t give them want they want.

Stay in this fight. Remain vigilant. And let’s keep building.
