Seriously, Kevin? I'm a neurodivergent, sartorially challenged, smart assed dad-joker. Why in the hell am I not on this list?

I want to be a parasite who has taken over much of the country.
it's utterly wild how the Heritage Foundation president talks about other people

if you found a guy talking like this outside, you'd probably call the cops

CROCKETT: When I say that you are the least qualified FBI director in the history of the FBI, that is real, because you are the only one that never even served with the FBI

PATEL: That's false

CROCKETT: I didn't ask you a question

I've been pleased to call "House" my friend for more than 35 years. Peach on, brother.
Pastor Howard-John Wesley on Charlie Kirk:

“Charlie Kirk did not deserve to be assassinated. But how you die does not redeem how you lived.

I can abhor the violence that took your life, but I don’t have to celebrate how you chose to live.”

10 years ago today, Steve Silberman's groundbreaking book NeuroTribes was published. It changed how the world discussed autism and inspired many autistic people to write their own books.

Stay tuned for information on a 10th anniversary edition coming very soon.

I talk with my kids about snooze buttons. I can't be spontaneous with you right now but you can check back in with me at (This time). I might not be ready at (This time) but I'll have a better idea.
Any AuDHD peeps with AuDHD kids?

Hoooowwwww??

My kid and I each independently want to spend more time with the other. But my kid wants it naturally not on a schedule. And I don't have the energy to me continuously available.

What now?

(If this does not sound familiar please don't advise.)

Just so you're aware, he's right. There's nothing fundamentally harmful about metal in a microwave. After all, it's made of metal.

There are two potential issues, though.

Go Maryville! My hometown.
Super-red, super-rural, small town Maryville, Missouri, came out en masse today for the #NoKings Rally.

If this many people in my super pro-Trump town are willing to do this, I have hope that we can defeat the fascists.

I was at my high school in the direct path of the St Louis tornado before it veered northeast. The NWS tornado warning came at 2:34, but it placed the tornado about 8 miles from where it actually was. Prior to this tornado, NWS alerts have been dead-on accurate.

Earlier today, I was leaked a copy of the Executive Secretariat Style Guide for the US State Department. The new guide included a new section requiring that all trans State employees must be misgendered in all official communications. www.patreon.com/posts/new-st...

1) Processing Time: Almost every autistic person has their own rhythm and speed at which they process information. In my son’s case, this means giving him a few beats to respond, rather than impatiently assuming he didn’t understand what was said. Captions and recording audio can also help here. 2/

Seriously, Gorsuch?
Before April 22, I would not have believed a Supreme Court justice would flat out lie- but as the author of the children's book in question, I can confirm that he absolutely did. Thanks @jaywillis.net for reporting on this- more people should be.
Neil Gorsuch told some of the most obvious, farcical, easily debunked lies I can remember a justice telling. I promise you could spend an hour trying to guess what he says is a picture of a “sex worker” in a children’s book, and not get anywhere close. ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/pride...

I'm not sure about when I became a trans ally, but I know the exact moment I became a full LGBTQ ally.

I was a hospital chaplain in Boston in 1996. I was talking with an elderly Catholic man about priestly sexual abuse of minors. He brought it up.
Taught trans sex workers self defense in DC circa 2000 and realized from our conversations that they faced more risk of assault than any population I'd worked with. Before that, I'd been supportive of gay and lesbian friends, I just hadn't had a chance to hear trans folk talk about their lives.
cis folks, i'm curious for you to share answers, if you want:

what made you start caring about trans rights? who'd you know/what happened? tell me the story.
