This is worded as a joke but having a country with a tax and financing structure that allows Zuckerberg to set billion$ on fire to build the Metaverse (something no one wanted and no one uses) rather than one that builds quality high-speed intercity rail is one of the biggest black eyes for the U.S.
Taking a super nice train in Italy for $45 and thinking of how cool it is that our taxpayer money back home will buy Ethereum to bail out David Sacks.
