The upgrades might change this, but I like how every weapon other than your default is expendable. You can also only hold one hacking skill which has limited uses as well.

There is an upgrade system that you access at checkpoints, but it's disabled in the demo. After the first clear they give you a perfect dodge to mess around with plus adding another weapon and hacking skill you can try out.

Also I was in a similar boat, I heard the song way before I got around to playing Silent Hill 3. So it was an weird experience hearing that again when the intro start.
