Among so much more, this paper shares three key takeaways:

⭐Conflict and coexistence are deeply contextual and interconnected

⭐Coexistence requires collaborative, inclusive processes

⭐Practical tools can help turn coexistence theory to into action - we propose a framework for doing just this!

Habituation is a too often overlooked ethical consideration. When wildlife photographers say they had to “earn the trust” of a wild being in order to “get the story”, this often means they altered that being’s natural wariness of humans. I’m dedicated to setting new standards for our ‘industry’. 1/2

Super excited that this amazing book is finally available for preorder. It was written by over 50 Indigenous Peoples from around the world and contains stories, poetry, and critical thought pieces on how TEK is used and extracted from our communities and what folks are doing to protect it.
