Well “no private attorney would take the case” is wrong, I know a bunch of New York ethics attorneys who would’ve been practicing in 2002 who would’ve taken that case

I’ll have to look that up and see if Nora was right

My spouse and I watched that episode, and while I couldn’t comment on whether the procedure for New Mexico was correct, I knew (and annoyed him with the fact) that they were citing real rules. I would like to think somebody I would later meet in my ethics nerd association consulted on that scene.

BCS is the only show I am aware of to ever feature an attorney discipline hearing

Anyway

Ah! No, just vaccines. A colleague of mine (who is around my age) has shingles which reminded me that I should get the vax (as I am newly eligible this year).

There are day camps (including at Sur-La-Table) for kids. 15 can cook the basics and wants to get back into it for more complex things (that wish coincided with getting the GF). Stepkid (23) lives with his partner and the aforementioned friend and they cook for themselves too.

I do not. It's been awhile since I've done the BYO pizza thing.

It's just me with my achy arms, 15, and the GF tonight
November 15, 2025 at 1:39 AM
I am right now housing one teen boy (feeding his friends/GF when they're around) and scratch cooking is the way (even though tonight it was trash delivery pizza)

We've had a few teens/young adults stay here (for months/years) when they had nowhere else to go--glad we could do it but they do eat a lot

Fatigue, brain fog, metallic taste have been my historical side effects, all manageable
November 15, 2025 at 1:12 AM
When I've had covd + flu together they haven't hit too badly (and effects have historically hit same-day, a bit into the next), but I did this this weekend because this is the first one I've had in ages (and will have for ages) where I could sleep things off if I need to

I got shingles in my left and covid/flu in my right at the pharmacist's recommendation--my arms always forget how to arm for a day or so after vaccines. They're achy and I also have to be more deliberate about movement.
November 15, 2025 at 1:05 AM
I did this today because I will have the weekend to sleep it off. If it turns out I don't need the whole weekend, well, fine.

I've gotten covid/flu at the same time before with no real issues.

One of the reasons I do not own a car right now and just share my husband's is that I hate the whole car-buying ordeal and I swear to god if that's what happens with the insurance market

What's the insurance equivalent of undercoating?

You have not met a few of the people I have met but your point is taken
November 14, 2025 at 11:54 PM
I have also ordered trash pizza for 15, his GF, and myself (spouse is watching hockey with a friend and I am sure ordering trash concessions there)
November 14, 2025 at 11:48 PM
I got my shingles, covid, AND flu vaxxes this afternoon so I will be taking advantage of the 5G upgrade and streaming bad television
November 14, 2025 at 11:47 PM
But he only did it this year when people called him out on it
November 14, 2025 at 10:01 PM
Of COURSE there is room for redemption--if he got blackout drunk and woke up and discovered a Nazi tattoo and got it covered or removed as soon as he could do so given deployment/money/etc., we would not be having this conversation
