China's trade data for August came out this morning - I've run the numbers on what it says for Europe.

Big picture:

In August vs a year earlier, China's trade surplus with the EU jumped 22.5% to US$28.9bn (in a single month)

In the first 8 months of 2025, it's up 21.5% to US$197bn
