We want to make sure that transit riders, the people in our city doing the most to reduce traffic, aren't the ones getting stuck in it.

Getting this project funded during this year's budget discussions is a major priority, and we need to all work together to get it across the finish line

The B1 will run from Castle Downs to Century Park

The B2 will run from West Edmonton Mall to Bonnie Doon

This is a project that:

🏃 Speeds up our busiest bus routes that already see tens of thousands of trips daily,

🗺️ Connects isolated parts of our city to transit, and

⏲️ Can be built quickly and affordably

Did you know this system also works for LRT stations? We compiled the station IDs for every LRT station so you can always know when the next train is coming.

If you’re looking for another chance to show support, canvassers will be out at transit centres all December collecting signatures

Edmonton’s contactless payment system is now active region wide, includes daily and monthly fare capping, and costs the same as a regular fare!

That is all of the amendments done!

Now Council will be voting on all three budgets (operating/capital/carbon) in their entirety

✅ Amendment by Stevenson to permanently fund the enhanced cleaning program PASSES 8-5

This program was originally funded with a provincial grant, which will now permanently be taken over by the City. This allows ETS to much more quickly respond to messes on our transit system

✅ Amendment by Salvador to fund the operations of the 25 buses purchased by Council earlier this week PASSES 9-4

The buses we bought will be put on our roads!

✅ Amendment by Wright to reinstate bus cleaning funding PASSED 11-2

This cleaning was outsourced in 2021, then returned to in-house afterwards, but did not have its previous funding returned until now.
