Thank you 🙏🏾

It’s still sort of strange (and flattering) to hear that. I never think of myself as a person on whom people would crush. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Like “out on a date” watch a movie? With the greatest of respect, that’s a thing I’d have to decline.

Sometimes it bes like that.

How was your day?

As soon as I teach them how to type. Plus they keep wanting their password to be “meowtherfucker,” and that’s just way off-brand.

I promise, I’m not scary. I’m easy to talk to.

I’ve been off the dating market since September 1998 and married since May 1999. 💒

I’m not, I promise! I’m getting to every single message. The app’s not on my front page so sometimes it takes a minute to find the notification badge. 🥲

I never know what to say when I hear things like that. It’s super flattering, though.

No need to be anxious. I’m pretty easy to get along with, I think.

Yes. Also, I’ve been married to her for over twenty-five years. I’m THAT lucky. 😀

My DMs are always open. 🙂

Yes! What I can’t do is sing WELL. Before my voice changed, I could sing like an angel. I can still sing in tune for the most part, but it still sounds like shit. 😂

When I was able to ride the commuter train to work, I’d read every day. Now that I work at a place to which I have to drive—it’s about an hour to drive; 3 and a half hours by transit—I don’t get to read as often. But I’m in the midst of a Wheel of Time reread. Excellent (but LONG) series.

That’s so nice! Thank you!

P.S. No—YOU’RE breathtaking!

This is mostly true. The people who are close to me get the benefit of most doubts, but even for me there are lines (over there somewhere) that you just can’t cross.

I’ll take the music. There isn’t a chance that I could ever absorb the despair that would come with looking at the US government’s unedited and unredacted foulness.

This is a pretty interesting question. I think that art of any kind is a collaboration between a creator and the person who experiences the art. Moreover, it’s really difficult to quantify those qualities as they apply to those kinds of interactions. Long story short: I don’t know. 😀

I’m super lucky. I’ve heard it said that with age comes wisdom and assurance. I’ve also heard that sometimes age shows up alone. I choose to be grateful that in my case I got some of that self-assurance. 🙂

Ok. So this is a little bit selfish, but I’d like to build a different thing for each of my kids. What that thing is would be up to them, but it’d be something that would excite them, and challenge them, and make them happy.
