I’m watching In Search of Darkness (🙌) and it’s really making me miss video stores. I still select movies based on remembering seeing them on the shelves at Blockbuster. I lived next door to one so I spent half of my life in there.

This week I rewatched The Night of the Hunter. It’s so rich in meaning. I just love it. On this watch I was struck by the scene at the end with the lynch mob and it has stayed with me for the past few days. It’s a really dark moment that also has a wry humour to it in its absurdity.

Early steps on Bsky are strange… it’s like starting a conversation before there’s anyone to talk to. As for people to follow, my feed isn’t particularly well catered to me yet either but equally, searching for people to follow feels like a needle in a haystack
