i’m a happy critter when i’m adding more books to my TBR
fantasy, gothic and horror novels remain fantastic and so many amazing new ones are coming out continually
sometimes i worry i’ll run out of books and need to break my read each day streak, but uh. i think i’ll be okay at this rate

and so we come to an end! for new years 2023 i decided to read every single day, even if it’s just a page or a paragraph. i’m still going strong now and this was my list for this year. typically i read just before i go to sleep, so it’s about a book a month for me, but 18 books is strong going!

so cool! now when I commit high crimes in flagrant violation of international law, all I have to do is refuse to talk about them on camera, and then, since they couldn't get "both sides," I can avoid an embarrassing news report on them! amazing system. A+
Bari Weiss this morning on the 60 Minutes segment: "We need to be able to get the principals on the record and on camera."

Of course, most journalists know that oftentimes people who are the subject of negative reporting don't want to speak on camera or on the record.
