[1/2] I am CONSTANTLY amazed by the proclivity of the otherwise politically inclined to seek catharsis over persuasion.

I shouldn't be surprised—perhaps just disappointed. This has been the ongoing trend since... well, for a long time.

It's wild how deeply some people believe in these literal supernatural narratives, to the point where they justify real-world harm. It’s not even about policy or leadership at that point—it’s about spiritual warfare.

Republican law makers who oppose drugs so vehemently should oppose predatory loans aswell—they trap the desperate, extract wealth violently, block escape, target the vulnerable, and profit despite harm. Same tactics, different addiction.

Crucial thing you must do right now is strengthen and expand your community. Serve together. Try a new activity. See each other in person. Over on the other site I am continually struck by how the rabid intensity does not actually reflect community or connection. Only way we get through this.

It's terribly vindictive of me - but I love it when people start giving up on their Fitness dreams because it means that I have more parking spots at the gym, instead of having to park at IFA and walk over in the cold.

I think a lot of small farmers either forgot or never new they were a big part of DEI's "E"....

Surprise surprise, the lying liar lied, and his most devoted supporters are footing the bill.

8 yo female student: "Wouldn't it be great to have a female president?"

30 yo female instructor: "Oh no we can't have that! Women are too emotional."

8 yo (dejected): "oh..."

Makes my blood boil. This produces anger on several layers.

So, I rather sincerely want Trump's administration to succeed. Like, I would like nothing more than to see the US prosperity increase.

This is the expected result of the current political climate. Media companies have historically survived through climates like this before by either maintaining neutrality on the outrageous actions of national leaders, or by outright praising them. It is painful to witness happening in real time.
I am really frustrated that the press is discussing the destruction of USAID as something that has happened rather than an illegal action that will likely be undone in two weeks when courts tell the world that it was illegal.

I understand why Trump’s rhetoric resonates with so many people. It appeals to a sense of nostalgia and moral certainty. That’s exactly why it’s dangerous—it provides simple answers to complex problems.
