Another one I'm dusting off:

Researchers and game designers use unlimited computing capacity to replicate human thought.

A philosophical short story collection for fans of speculative science fiction that aren't looking for easy answers.

“As you walk The Silver Path, sometimes when there’s no other direction to go, you find the road curves off. And as you follow, find yourself back at a previous landmark. This is not a setback — it is the beginning of a new story. An opportunity. Be joyful if you yourself begin new” ~Book of Tsarial

Porn and erotica are important and societally valuable forms of speech, and the defense of them, in the face of state and church attempts at repression, is a necessary political act.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. If you're interested in one of my books, but you can't afford it, DM me. I'll happily trade a free ebook for an honest review on GR and the 'Zon.

It's a tough economy out there. And I'd rather people have my stories if they really want them.

Ah yes, that age old disease that comes with actually getting writing done.

Your monthly reminder:

Keep writing. When no one cares, persist. When things appear to be crumbling, keep at it. When it's difficult, push through. When you feel alone, listen to the stories in your blood. Just write. The world needs your stories.

I want to be up front about the Marked shorts series - the long-term intention is to give this world to fans. There are too many stories for me to tell. And TBH, too many stories that *aren't mine* to tell. There IS a story bible and rules I'm following.

And finally, after years, I have the few hundred words that were missing. Avery's story is "done"*

*pending feedback.
Finally getting back to writing and thanks to my current reading list, I've been slipping into present tense and having to immediately go back after each paragraph and make bunches of edits 😂

I can't believe you haven't bought a single book by a trans author this year. Shameful. You need to fix that.
On that note:

Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.

Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"

So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?

Trying to figure out how to write a bio blurb for writing submissions when I specifically don’t want to say much about myself 😂

I’ve got a paragraph that makes me uneasy. It’s a story about systemic discrimination, and I’m trying to highlight it as a concept on its own as part of human behavior (and abstract away historical context). But it also feels like that could be interpreted as minimizing existing injustice. Thoughts?

#writingcommunity question… I have (I think) a really good short story that I’m having trouble taking over the finish line. Should I just go and self publish it as-is? Or is it worth the fight to clean it up for the submission circus?

Went with bulky laptop. Let’s see how this plays out. The fans sound like a tornado 🌪️ but the keys…. Oh I have missed laptop keyboards like this. So speedy to type on.
I’ve got to make a command decision. I’m setting up my (standing) writing area. Do I use the big bulky but kinda powerful laptop or the small convertible that has to hang upside down with a wireless keyboard. They’re both 10+ years old with dead batteries, so they aren’t moving. 🤔
