Regenerative agriculture, climate adaptation, edible gardens and flowers. Lots of flowers.
"V ulicích bosenského Mostaru najdete kameny s nápisem „don’t forget!“, nabádající kolemjdoucí, aby nezapomněli na smrt a destrukci z první poloviny devadesátých let. ...
Srebrenica a Gaza. Události, se kterými má veřejnost obě tato místa spojené, dělí časový odstup třiceti let. Poslední týdny ale ukazují na řadu nepříjemně aktuálních spojitostí.

For thousands of years, we have been parasitised, exploited and destroyed by elites. Our survival depends on overthrowing them.

For every politician and journalist who supported Israel's onslaught, or stayed silent:

This photograph should haunt you for the rest of your life.

You will never scrub the shame away. No future achievement, however great, will ever erase what you helped inflict on Gaza.

one of the most effective and highly bought corporate propaganda campaigns ever was convincing individual people that turning off the lights and recycling were the solutions to climate change and not dismantling corporate polluters brick by brick and demanding policy and regulation

"To trigger positive tipping points that help eliminate the 25% of greenhouse gas emissions linked to food, farming, and deforestation, we call ... to adopt trade policies that catalyse sustainable commodity production and to shift public money from the livestock sector to plant-based proteins."
In a sane world, this would be the biggest, most important news story in the world.

‘Tipping points’ experts issue urgent message to world leaders.

1. At the Tipping Points conference in Exeter yesterday, I spoke about the likelihood of food system collapse: a massive existential threat few people's radar. If you want a handle on the issue, here's the submission I made to a parliamentary committee.

Medlar is the best winter fruit. We pick it after the first frost, when it gets soft. The taste resembles apple or pear puree. Our shrubs are heavy with the fruit this year. The best motivation for our kids to go for everyday winter walk, they know that medlars taste their best right from the shrub.
