Okay, in a week of no one changing their votes for the CR, it looks like the Dems just gained the slightest bit of ground. S 2882 has failed, but the vote as of now is 48-51, meaning they got one Republican to vote for it! They need 13 Republicans to switch sides, but this is a notable shift.

President Trump called for the jailing of Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker on Truth Social.

The threat comes after Illinois sued the administration on Monday in hopes of halting the troops’ deployment. The National Guard arrived this week nonetheless. trib.al/pXoPcwu

Final vote is 52-42. 8 didn't vote, so up by 3 compared to S 2882. Very interested in what the roll call vote has to say about this. Now the Senate votes for cloture on S Res 412, which I thought they finished up last week? Either way, this is to confirm 107 Trump nominees in one batch.

Is now 35-38. Only 3 more nays to shut it down. Also, since this bill passed the House, all it needs is to pass the Senate. This cloture vote would be the first step towards that happening.
